INFORMED SPEAKERS

We are now officially in to the Boating Season and many boating accidents have occurred.  It is obvious to me that we are still not reaching enough people about safe boating and the Auxiliary.  We have a lot of work to do!

I have been working on an idea of a Speaker's Bureau ID Card for you, so that when you attend an event you have a card to hand out.  Let me know what you think.  I can provide the copy to print for you, and then you will have to make the copies.

Please don't forget to take the two PA courses and send me a copy of your passing grade.

If you are having trouble logging on, please contact me as soon as possible and we will see what we can do to assist you.

I have attached a Listing of All members of the Speaker's Bureau that provides the name of the Contact Person(s) and Available Speaker's in each District for your convenience.  This is so that the Contact People and the Speaker's will know who to contact for speaking engagements.  I have only provided their e-mail address.

This should help in setting up appointments within your own District or depending on the relativity of your area you may wish to be in contact with someone in another District.

I look forward to any questions or input on how to improve on the spreadsheets.

The spreadsheets will also indicate that we need more people to participate.

I can include anything you want to know about or share.

I welcome your input.

I received a call on June 12, 2006 from a SO-PA who will be presenting to an audience of about 70 people.  He was having trouble getting a Power Point Presentation as the company requested that for the presentation.  I did not have what he needed so I sent him to Randy Ernst at ANSC.  Randy as always was able to help him out and I have requested a copy as well.  This is the beginning of our Available Materials to be used.

Do you have any materials we can share?  If so, please let me know.

I have stated that I would provide a list of Venues to contact.  I have done so below, if you have any you wish to share with the others, just let me know and I will include them in the next Newsletter.

Please don't forget if you are a writer, how about sharing some of your writings to help the other members.  Also, I would like to have a database or Library of speeches available to others to use.  I have only heard from one person, according to the applications there are many of you who indicate you are a writer.

I appreciate everyone's desire to be a part of the Team and your patience in my delay of getting back to you.  Please don't be afraid to contact me for any reason.

We are a Team.  As a Team we will be successful.  We will be successful in presenting the finest and most up to date information regarding the Past, Present and the Future of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  Encourage your fellow members to become a member of the Speaker's Bureau Team.
