Navigator
NAVIGATOR (auxpa.org/navigator) is published quarterly with emphasis on messages from the National staff and non-time value articles which highlight interesting activity within the organization. Every member of the Auxiliary receives a hard copy of NAVIGATOR, therefore, it is often also used as a venue to publish important policy matters. NAVIGATOR is also the vehicle where major National Auxiliary events, such as the National Conference, are advertised. An on-line site has been established where current and past issues of the magazine can be viewed. The NAVIGATOR's editor and staff are responsible for the magazine's composition and style. The Chief of the A Department is responsible for its publication.

SITREP
SITREP (www.teamcoastguard.org) is an on-line electronic magazine (e-magazine) that is published weekly with more frequent postings as required. The e-magazine's concept and philosophy focuses on the people of our organization, the Auxiliarist. By the nature of its electronic immediacy, SITREP can and does post items in very close to real time. SITREP is the venue where recaps of important National events are published. These events include the National Conference, N-Train, the International Search and Rescue Competitions (ISAR), The Caribbean Search and Rescue initiatives (CSAR) among others. Most of the weekly feature stories are written and photographed by grass roots Auxiliarists and carry an on-site flavor that makes these articles interesting and informative reading. Auxiliary recruiters, because of SITREP's electronic portability, have used the e-magazine as a tool in membership drives. Events and techniques often included in many of the articles provide fresh ideas for use by local units. SITREP is read by the general public, world wide, and its articles and photographs have stimulated interest in our organization. Feedback, in the form of comments about the stories and questions about the Auxiliary, in general, are frequent. The editor of SITREP is responsible for the publication of the e-magazine. The editor of SITREP is supported in electronic technical matters by the Information (I) Department and the actual posting to the website is by the Branch Chief chosen from the I Department.

Press Corps
The Auxiliary's "Press Corps," is an established group of Auxiliarists who have shown a talent for writing articles and are willing to share those talents with their fellow Auxiliarists. The Corps has also taken on an administrative task, that of channeling local articles and stories upward to the National publications. Quite often, members of the Corps are called upon to assist local units in the writing and publishing of important local events. Corps members are, on occasion, given direct assignments from the editors of NAVIGATOR and SITREP.

The Publications Division is in essence the (PB) branch of the "A" Department. The two major internal publications, NAVIGATOR and SITREP, are published under the purview of this division. Each of these publications receive their materials, articles and photographs, directly from the Auxiliary's membership.
