than 26 Jan 07. back to TOP DHS Announces $1.7 Billion Available for Local Homeland Security Programs The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released today fiscal year 2007 grant guidance and application kits for five grant programs that will total roughly $1.7 billion in funding for state and local counterterrorism efforts. your boat show exhibits help recruit new members, and result in an
increase for our public education classes and Vessel Safety Check
programs. It includes recommended lists of materials to have on hand,
and how to set up your exhibit to invite visitors to see what we're
about. {Consult with your local
chain of leadership and management to make sure these suggestions are in
line with local policies for uniforms of the day and other matters}.
back to TOP 2007 Team Coofdination Refresher Training The Operations Department has released the documents and presentation for Team Coordination refresher training for 2007. This 2007 TCT Refresher Training session is MANDATORY for all Crew, Coxswains, and PWC Operators. The Refresher Training session is approximately 1 hour in length. Flotillas and Divisions should plan to present this program. Note - This session is designed to be given at the local level and a 'qualified' TCT Facilitator is NOT required. All previous editions are obsolete and may not be used. Also added to this group is a new Vehicle Offer for Use form, ANSC-7065. The ATON Verification form (7054), has been updated. The previous edition may not be used. The Membership Application form (7001), has been substantially updated to include all previously-attached forms in a single form. The previous edition may not be used. Their tips for promoting and recruiting are outstanding. Download this workshop and schedule it for your whole flotilla today. back to TOP Check Out the Operations and Marine Safety Directorate Web Site This site will feature the many issues where the Operations and Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Departments collaborate. Whether you are conducting facility compliance checks or multi-mission patrols, you provide direct support to the Coast Guard. The OMS Directorate provides the support that you need to meet the expectations of the Coast Guard. This Web site will provide you with additional resources to help get the job done. Our first
initiative is to support your efforts in Contingency Planning. We have
searched for information and tools to help you plan and provide for
contingency or surge response. However, we want to hear from you! Your
experience in field level contingency operations is valuable and you
have much to share with the rest of the Auxiliary community. I would
encourage everyone to contribute to our “Best Practices” forum and share
