Commandant Signs U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary Policy Statement ADM Thad Allen, Commandant of the Coast Guard, has signed the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Policy Statement. This one page document clearly outlines the Auxiliary's goals and charges the active duty and reserve components to fully engage the Auxiliary at every command level. This policy statement firmly places the Auxiliary in Coast Guard mission planning and execution.

BoatUS MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) Signed The Boat Owners’ Association of the United States (BoatU.S.) recently approved a Memorandum of Agreement (PDF: 60 KB / 3 pages) benefiting members of the Auxiliary and the Auxiliary Association. The agreement was signed during a special ceremony at NACON 2006. The new BoatU.S. MOA clarifies the discounts offered to Auxiliary and Association members: Annual Membership Fee; Towing Packages; Seaworthy Magazine. from the perspective of leadership, recruitment and
retention. The

a volunteer organization was distributed to the National
Board. Dr. Karen D. Kimmel of the Leadership Development
Center was the keynote speaker at NACON. Her

Staff websites. back to TOP New Operations & Marine Safety Web Site We are pleased to announce the completion and availability of the Operations and Marine Safety (OMS) web site. The site features many valuable documents concerning contingency/surge response planning and links to Auxiliary and non-Auxiliary sites that are helpful in this area. A model Auxiliary Sectorization plan is also featured. back to TOP 2006 Best of Web Awards Announced At NACON The best examples of Auxiliary websites were honored at NACON 2006. The webmasters of these winning sites have spent countless hours creating engaging and effective websites that deliver the Auxiliary message in a highly professional manner. The winning websites for 2006 were: Flotilla 01-04 of District 11 Southern; Division 2 of District 9 Western; District 13. Winners receive a certificate, along with a 5 Star Logo for their websites and a crystal trophy, presented to their DCO.
